Business Incubator Management (BIM) Training

The Programme

This course is probably the most comprehensive training on BI available anywhere and is suitable for persons interested in enterprise development, setting up a Business Incubator or those that wish to improve the structure and sustainability of their current programs. This is an open invitation but is limited in the number of participants to ensure enough personal focus.

The programme is normally presented in person but due to COVID-19 it will be presented online via Zoom this year.

Curriculum

The training is based on the infoDev’s (World Bank) global Business Incubation Management Training Program which has been updated and adapted for Africa over a number of years. Although the main target audience is business incubation managers and practitioners, it is well suited for other business incubation stakeholders and funders.

We will cover a wide spectrum of modules including the following:

Presenters

The presenter is Leon Lourens (CEO of African Business Incubation Institute), an infoDev Certified Master Trainer and has presented this training many times across Africa and further abroad. He also offers a similar post-graduate training session as an MBA elective at the Universities of SA and Johannesburg. Leon also authored some of the modules and contributed to many of them. On occasion guest trainers are also used if needed.

Training Fee

Due to the online presentations the cost of the 5 day training course has been reduced to USD 500 (including material – slide decks and workbooks). The training fees will payable up front and no exceptions will be made. If you require a formal invoice please let me know on the application.
